Hello everyone!
A Nerdfighter Story Club has been born out of awesome. It is still young though. I did not come up with it but had the great opportunity to stumble upon it.
The Nerdfighter Story Club is just what it sounds like, a place where Nerdfighters can share their stories- whether it be prose, a writing exercise excerpt or fanfiction - or poems and just about anything using the written word.
Where is this Nerdfighter Story Club located? And where can I submit work?
Reddit:The main hub is on Reddit. You should check the Reddit outbecause it has all the information about the Club plus it's where it all started.
Weekly challenges are also hosted here.
Tumblr: The tumblr is mostly used for reblogging stories. You can submit stories on it. The tag #nerdfighterstoryclub is being tracked and we will reblog your work. You can ask on tumblr if you wish to run the blog.
Google Drive : You can submit your stories to the Google Drive and we can post it on tumblr and reddit.
Deviantart: Last but not least it's here on Deviantart! I'm thinking of creating a folder for the Nerdfighter Story Club and featuring stories every week or so. Also posting it on tumblr and Reddit. I'm working the chinks out so any input from you guys will be appreciated.
Rules and Suggestions(taken from the Reddit site)
Rules are bolded, suggestions are in plain text.
Submit replies to prompts/challenges as their own posts, i.e. not in the comments. We want to see it! You can put which prompt you used or which challenge you're responding to in the title of the post.
If you'd hesitate at all to show your work to a child, tag it with [NSFW] for mature content in the title of the post.
If a story contains potential triggers, include appropriate warnings in the title.
Keep it tasteful. Stories with gratuitous explicit content may be taken down by the moderators.
Submit individual chapters of multi-chapter works as new posts so that people know you've updated a story. From the previous chapter please link to the next chapter once it goes up, and also the first chapter so that new readers can catch up.
If you think your work fits into a particular genre, please put it in the title (e.g. [Drama] The Ugly Porcupine) or in the post itself. The same goes for the type of writing it is (e.g. [Free writing] or [Poem] or [Novella] etc.)
For fanfiction:
Include [Fanfic] in the title.
Include a disclaimer.
No spoilers in the title.
Include the fandom in the title.
Include spoiler warnings at the top of the body of the post.
Again any suggestions/ideas are appreciated. The Club is still in its infancy so there's a bunch of stuff to work out.
So whatcha waiting for? Get your writing face on and write, write, write!

Help give a birthday gift to John! + a note
~ticky18 (https://www.deviantart.com/ticky18)ticky18 (https://www.deviantart.com/ticky18):
Hello all!
John Green's birthday is coming up, and we hope that you all join those of us on Kiva to give John the greatest birthday present ever!
If you don't know what Kiva is, it's a money lending charity which connects you with a developing world entrepreneur. Both John and Hank have talked about it in the past, and are big fans of the website and what it does.
What we're trying to do is loan a total of 3 million dollars through Kiva.org for John's birthday. We're currently at 2.7 million, and John's birthday is on August 24th!
You don't even have to loan any of your money! If you've never used Kiva before,
TFioS Movie?
So, it is confirmed the Shailene Woodley (ABC's Secret Life of the American Teenager) is playing Hazel.
How do you feel about this, NerdFighters?
We seek your opinion. We like discussion. :)

John Green was on the Late Late Show!
Hello, Nerdfighters!
As you might already know, John Green was a guest on the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, who cancelled his last guest so he could talk to John more. Poor John had to break his own rule of not flying anywhere for six months to be on the show, but I loved that he was a good sport about it. You can watch the whole show on Youtube by following the link below, or the link below that is just the part with just John.
Whole episode: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dUPuvHhKl5g
Only John Green: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IwjjWhLxf-o
DFTBA!
